Venice Adventure

Good Morning All!
I'm starting this blog, and this post, with the most ultimate photos of Venice: the canals and Piazza San Marco. The purpose of the blog is to celebrate the celebration of my darling's birthday, which was excuse for the trip. Well, not an excuse exactly, but a reason, a catalyst as it were. And what a trip it was! For seven days, eight of us shared a beautiful palazzo in Venice, the week of Patrick's said birthday, and lived as Venicians as best we could. Food, wine, walking, more food and more wine! The occasional boat trip (congratulations Pam!), and a modicum of traditional sightseeing (since this was my first trip to Europe, I really had to) to fill the time, but the adventure was LIVING there! Learning how to enjoy being lost on the streets, not buying too much because we're carrying it all home from the market, enjoying and laughing about our status as regulars at the corner bar.
Most of the images are from my camera, which surprizes me with crisp images every day. And we begin with one of the later photos from Venice, east of San Marco. The sunlit canal view.

Below, a view of a parking spot, just off the campiello which we walked through every day, and following that is another view down a canal.

Finally, for today's post, the view of a flood Piazza San Marco - much more to come!
